 Hi,

I am Melody, come from Taiwan, 39 years old, female.
I plan to travel to Hokkaido with my family this summer vacation.
We have 5 persons, 2 adults, 3 children age at: 11, 11, 8 years old.
Could we apply our JAPAN RAIL PASS ORDINARY TYPE TICKET to take the
HOKUTOSEI No.2 with surcharge YEN6300 per bed,
In our case,
could we buy 3 beds used for 5 persons? As I read the rules as:
One bed can be used for one adult and a child,
or one bed can be used for 2 children, we got 3 children,
so in our case, we at least have to buy 3 beds for we 5 persons use.
Am I right for "child" means under 12 years old?
If so, should I pay YEN6300 x 3 = YEN18900 for one way ride,
when I showed the JR PASS itself and PASSPORT to GREEN WINDOW OF JR.

Your early clarification will be highly appreciated.

Best regards,
